STEPPING OUT — NORMAL HEIGHTS
Shop’s globally conscious wares, healing arts promote better living
If you’ve only walked past Liquid Eden Holistic Center in Normal Heights, you might think it’s just a water store. The water is a big part, but it’s far from being all that they do. “I wanted a place to bring different practitioners together,” said Trisha Kuhlmey, owner.
The shop offers products from local vendors, along with cleaning and bath products that can be purchased in bulk (bring your own container). Regular classes cover yoga, essential oils, and more. And for the water: It goes through a reverse osmosis process to remove all contaminants. This purified water is great for cooking, cleaning, and brewing. For drinking, get the mineral water, which has 96 minerals added back to the purified water, making it slightly alkaline.
